While studying fine art at Santa Barbara Community College in 1987 Joshua started working with glass. After receiving his AA in Studio Art from SBCC he transferred to the University of California at Santa Barbara where he earned his BA in Art History. After 5 years of working for professional artists, museums, galleries and a participating in a glass concentration at Penland School of Crafts in 1998, he attended the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign earning his MFA in Sculpture/Glass in 2001.
Joshua now calls Clarkdale, Arizona his home. He can be seen blowing glass on his mobile glass studio called the Highway Hotshop, or working in his personal studio.
